SE County

Six of our Historic Markers are located in the south and eastern part of Limesone County. These markers and locations are identified as follows:

  • Cambridge
    • This marker is located about 4 miles east of Athens and south of U.S. Highway 72 on Cambridge Lane in front of the Cambridge Methodist Church.
  • Nicholas Davis Monument
    • This marker is located about 10 miles east of Athens on Nick Davis Road (Forrest Street in Athens), across from the Alabama State Prison (Farm). The monument is about 100 feet south of the marker.
       
  • Belle Mina and Woodside (Plantation Houses
    • This marker is located just south of the town of Belle Mina on Mooresville Road.
       
  • Harris-Pryor House (Flower Hill Farm)
    • This marker is located 3.7 miles south of Tanner Crossroads.
       
  • Mooresville and Cottonport
    • This marker is in Mooresville at the end of Mooresville road and south of the I-565 exit at Mooresville.
       
  • Round Island Baptist Church
    • This marker is located on Browns Ferry Road in the Reid Community, just South of the crossroads in Reid.
